Difficulty: strenuous

Approx. hiking time: 5-8 hours

Total elevation gain: +3597, -3597

Best season: July - early September

Access: Trail begins on the road north out of Kennicott

Challenges: Not overly steep, but the angle is unrelentingly up from the start.


A good workout up to the ruins at the Jumbo Mine site. The structure has collapsed even further since these photos were taken. Expect snow on the upper trail till early July or possibly later.
